| Pre season training |
|
Pre season is not far away.
Are you prepared?
Below is a quick checklist:
First aid kit,
Mobile phone in case of emergency,
Emergency contact numbers for all players,
Plenty of water to drink and cool down,
Tub of Vaseline for blisters (players may be breaking in new boots)
Guidelines for getting fit:
No weights for under 16s (sit ups etc are a good alternative)
Do not stretch 6-10 year olds. They are flexible enough.
(A 5 minute jog with various body movements should be enough)
Small sided games:
Small sided games are a great way to get fit, don’t forget to add concessions to the game
e.g. One or two touch, can only pass with left foot, can only score with a header etc.
These games can be as realistic as a match and will also exercise the brain as well as muscles.
Good luck, if you need any advice feel free to contact me.
