Enjoy the close season!
Following another highly successful season, our annual six-a-side Colts tournament took place on Saturday 5th June and provided another fantastic day of football for hundreds of young people. Thanks should go to all of our visiting teams, whose conduct helped uphold Alconbury's tradition of a friendly, family oriented, yet highly competitive, competition. Thanks also to our sponsors for their generosity - Urban & Civic, 3Q Sports, Chromasports, Mick George, LA Fitness and Alconbury Paving.
Our mini-soccer and girls tournament takes place on Saturday 19th June. We are still accepting entries, so if you'd like to bring a team along, please contact our Secretary, Marina Howlett, for further details. Marina's e-mail is howlettnm@aol.com
Two of our teams triumphed in cup competitions this season. Our Under 15 Girls won the Plate final, defeating Horemead 3-1 on penalties and our Under 15 Boys won the Knock Out Cup with a convincing 7-1 victory over Godmanchester B. Congratulations to both teams.
