ALL CHANGE FOR ALCONBURY.

Exciting times lie ahead for Alconbury Football Club, with the expansion of our already impressive facilities well under way. The new development will include a state-of-the-art, third generation multi-use games area and two new, full size pitches, which are being built on the land next to our existing sports field.
The project has been awarded £286,000 from the Football Foundation; it has also been generously supported by WREN who have provided a £20,000 grant towards the changing rooms and disabled facilities. Huntingdon District Council, Alconbury Parish Council, Garfield Weston Foundation, Alconbury Sports & Social Club and Alconbury Colts Football Club have all generously donated funds towards the project.
Below are recent pictures of the construction work being carried out.

“Our aim at Alconbury Colts is simple; to provide an environment in which young people of all ages, all colours and both sexes, can come and enjoy their football. That environment must be safe, fun and without prejudice, enabling all of those within it the freedom to express themselves and to develop as young people. The new development will present us with new opportunities to develop the club further and to offer all of our players the chance to train and play on the very best facilities. We are hugely grateful to the Development Team at Alconbury Sports & Social Club for their tireless work and dedication and to all those groups whose funds have made the project possible.”
Paul Tait, Chairman, Alconbury Colts Football Club
